What is a barn home?
Barn: The barns we use were built during an age where one's work was a religious experience, when quality craftsmanship was important and was expected of tradesmen. They were built when agriculture was America's most important industry and one's barn was a symbol of one's prosperity and philosophy. These structures are unique in that their timbers were cut from virgin forests hand hewn and built to withstand incredible weight and weather. Virgin forest timbers are known for their strength, large dimension and great length. The only way to use such incredible wood in a home or building now is to re-claim the beams from structures of that era.
