Projects

Here are a few examples of A&A Barn Homes projects. This is only a sample of what one can do with barns. Hopefully such projects inspire you to imagine your own version of a barn home. For examples of floor plans and more examples of what designs are possible within barns, don’t hesitate to call or e-mail Andrew (see contacts page).

Michigan Oak Barn

This barn was built around 1850 from the nearby Oak trees. It was converted from a gable roof to a gambrel roof in the early 1900’s to accommodate for changes in the agricultural industry. Threatened by encroaching development, the owner found an enthusiastic buyer to move and convert the barn into a garage, workshop and apartment on his property across the state.

Arched Roof Barn

This massive barn is dated to the mid 1800’s and features an arched roof. The owners found and bought it in poor condition, but had a vision and were confident that we could bring the barn back into shape and make it stronger than ever for the wonderful home they would make of it.
